Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026
Give A Workout is operated by an individual as a sole proprietorship (no separate legal entity), based in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. "We," "us," and "Give A Workout" refer to that operator throughout this document. Contact: support@giveaworkout.com.

1. What this covers

This policy explains what information Give A Workout collects, why, and how it's handled. It applies to Trainers who create accounts, and to clients who open a workout link a Trainer has shared with them.

2. Information we collect

From TrainersName and email address (when you sign up); your password (stored securely, hashed — we never see it in plain text); the client names, workout plans, sets/reps, and exercise videos you create; billing information, which is collected and stored directly by Stripe, not by us.
From clientsClients don't create an account. Opening a shared workout link doesn't require a name, email, or password — access is via a private, hard-to-guess link. The only data we store on a client's behalf is what their Trainer entered (name, workout plan) and which exercises they've checked off.
AutomaticallyBasic technical data needed to operate the Service, such as your authentication session, stored in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in.

3. How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising or ad targeting.

4. Third-party service providers

We use the following providers to run the Service. Each processes data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy practices:

SupabaseDatabase, authentication, and video file storage.
StripeSubscription billing and payment processing. Stripe handles your card details directly — we never receive or store full card numbers.
ResendDelivery of account emails (confirmation, password reset).
YouTubeIf a Trainer links a workout to a YouTube video instead of uploading their own, that video is embedded from YouTube, which may set its own cookies and collect viewing data under Google's privacy policy.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your last-viewed client — this is functional, not tracking or advertising related. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, email us at support@giveaworkout.com and we'll process the request within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain certain records (for example, billing history) for legal or accounting purposes.

7. Children's privacy

Give A Workout accounts are only for Trainers 18 or older; we don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Trainers may enter workout information on behalf of clients who are minors — if you do, you're responsible for having appropriate parental or guardian authorization to do so.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@giveaworkout.com.

9. Security

We rely on our service providers' security practices (encryption in transit, access controls, and password hashing) to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active Trainers, for example by email.
